Forest on fire (Nature, Seasons; Nature, Trees)

Standing like knights of colors, a bunch of trees were waiting for me on the threshold of the forest. After paying my respect, they let me in the most senseshaking colorfool of worlds. It was like being surrounded by fire: the skin untouched, my breath was burning!

Thefence of Nature (Deeper Perspective, Environmental)

When traveling around and seeing protected areas where no access is permitted, I can’t help wondering whether those fences are really meant to defend nature rather than cage it, like a zoo of faunas going extinct. And I hope that I will still find green places where as a respectful animal I am allowed to walk through freely.

Ghastly Warehouse (Architecture, Historic)

Even more unusual is the fact that walking through the night streets gives an uncomfortable feeling of non-safety. All this is reflected in some ghastly figures appearing on the walls (of a warehouse converted into museum).

Days of Darkness (Editorial, Other)

Is it a sin if the eye enjoys beauty generated by polluted globalization?

Floating Fleet (Deeper Perspective, Other)

While the sun comes up, struggling with clouds that have no intention to let the day come through, the harbor is already busy with drowsy ships, slowly heading towards the open ocean with their merchandise and messages to the far lands.

Hidden Lurks (Architecture, Historic)

While the village fair takes place loud and colorfool in the main square, deserted corners of the old town allure with their grim and somehow magical touch.
Official Honorable Mention of 2009 International Photography Awards
Donna al Mercato Verde (Deeper Perspective, Culture)

Back from the market, she carries the burdens of her daily routine. A shadow hand hands her shadow one more bag; upside down though, to lighten her pace.
